CONVERSATION SPARKS

I started a tumblr out of an itch to draw again, and to share some of the interesting tidbits I came across online. It received two Webby Award nominations, first in the Funny category and then in the Weird category, which is about right.

That little tumblr became Conversation Sparks, the antidote to boring parties and awkward pauses. Here are just a few gems you’ll find in its pages:

• Every day, 16% of searches are ones Google has never seen before.

• Jimmy Carter was the first U.S. president born in a hospital.

Parts of the book have been featured in Buzzfeed and The Huffington Post. I also spoke with Ron Charles at The Washington Post about being awkward.
