Editing & Manuscript Consults

I periodically provide editing and consulting work, meeting clients in New York, around the Hudson Valley, or remotely via zoom/email. I prefer to work with writers on completed manuscripts, and my wheelhouse, as you can guess, is literary fiction. (I’d provide only terrible advice to your fantasy trilogy or middle-grade novel.)

What does manuscript consultation entail? Each project dictates its own scope of work, according to the author and the needs of the book: line editing, structural changes, useful models in existing novels, generative exercises, etc. It’s thrilling to work with a writer to solve problems and make their book as good as it can be.
